With 404sight nearing in on 100K downloads (currently hovering around 98K) I found it was time to start my next project. I realized I have created 3 platformers, one 2d, one 2.5d, and one full 3d. While I enjoyed all of those projects, I definitely feel its time to move on and pick a new genre. I didnt choose platformers on purpose, it just kind of happened to be that way.

Working with a few friends I made on 404sight, we started immediately working on our next project. We havent quite nailed down the design yet, but we are thinking a top down roguelike. We also like the idea of ranged combat, and sneaking in the shadows, much like Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell. We also decided it would be a good idea to just use the dungeon kit that I’ve been working on. So I have been working to expand it and make it more friendly for random generation and snapping to grids, etc. I’m really excited about this new project and we will be working under the new team name of PolyInfinite. I decided to start concepting out some logos so we can begin branding ourselves as we dive into dev.

More details to come as we get further into development.
