We decided early on to use Unreal 4, which had just released when we began development.  That was probably the best decision this team ever made.  Unreal 4 is a beautiful and easy to use engine that really enhanced our game and allowed us to get a lot of mileage and juice out of our game.  It was a fun project to work on and our team really worked well together using a very agile process.  We hardly even used documentation because we were always changing the game and trying new things, it was hard to keep documents up to date.

The game has had a lot of success so far.  Its received a lot of press worldwide, and currently is sitting just above 100K downloads on Steam.  We were also selected for Unreal Developments Grants, and been accepted to a variety of shows like Intel Showcase at GDC, and Differenet Games in New York.  Below is our steam launch trailer, I will also include links to just a handful of press that we got.  Oh, did I also mention we released this game for free? It can be downloaded on steam for free, or on our website at 404sight.com

This game was my master thesis project.  I worked on it for about a year with a team of 12 people.  We had 5 producers, 4 artists and 3 engineers.  I was the 3D environment artist for the team, in charge of building all of the 3d assets you see in game.  I also built levels and built the worlds with the art I created.  I assisted others in using the kits that I built so that I could get help “arting” up the levels.

I also did a lot with marketing and branding, creating tshirts, logos, stickers etc. as the team needed it.
