I have been sitting on this project for a while, I didnt have the time to finish textures for it, especially since I already have my WoW style forest project in my portfolio. I decided to pass the model and UVs off to a very talented texture artist that I know, Jing Zeng. She graciously jumped at the chance to paint the textures for this, and I think she did a fantastic job.
For the model and UV’s I used Maya and shot for very low poly. The textures were all painted in Photoshop by Jing Zeng. I then took the model and textures into marmoset for lighting and final beauty shots. I applied some of the built in Quixel plugins to the textures to get that PBR feel to them. I’m pretty happy with how this little project turned out. Even more happy that it finally got done with the help of another artist.
